This opportunity is for a Clinical Pharmacist to support a 250-bed hospital setting in Hollister, CA. This position features a 13-week contract with a fast-track start, offering a chance to bring your expertise to a dynamic healthcare environment utilizing Meditech and Pyxis systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy
- Utilize Meditech and Pyxis for medication management and documentation
- Participate in medication reconciliation and ensure regulatory compliance
- Maintain accurate patient records and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid California pharmacist license
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience required
- Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy practices and medication safety
- Familiarity with Meditech IT system and Pyxis automated dispensing technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including variable days and afternoons
- Commitment to a full-time schedule, ideally 4 ten-hour shifts per week
- Positive, proactive attitude and a team-oriented mindset
