Job Description
📍 Location: Parker Dam, CA 92267 (travel required to Iron and Eagle facilities)
⏳ Duration: Up to 6 months
🗓️ Schedule: 36/44 (Mon–Thurs, Fridays off)
About the Role:
The selected candidate will perform installation, maintenance, and repair of RF wireless and voice communication equipment, including hardware and software. You’ll also provide critical support for daily operations by tracking systems, analyzing requests, and assisting with customer solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair microwave radios, VOIP phones, copper & fiber cabling, antenna cables, waveguides, and DC power plants.
- Perform tower climbing, troubleshooting, antenna cable repairs, battery bank installations, and heavy lifting of equipment (batteries, servers, racks, etc.).
- Assist in network capacity planning, disaster recovery, and communication infrastructure support (radio, VOIP, telephony, PBX, microwave, and wireless).
- Provide on-site support for vendors/contractors and inspect completed work.
- Maintain documentation for system configurations, changes, and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED + 2 years relevant experience AND completion of 40 semester units from an accredited institution (college/vocational/military).
- Valid California Class C Driver’s License (defensive driving certificate may be required).
- Strong knowledge of IT & communication systems, FCC rules/regulations, and network capacity planning.
- Ability to work independently and in teams, multi-task, problem-solve, and communicate clearly.
- Must meet physical demands: climbing tall ladders, lifting 50+ lbs, and working in high-risk outdoor environments.
