Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a skilled Occupational Therapist to support K-6 students across two school sites from preschool through 6th grade. The position runs from mid-February through the end of the school year, with the possibility to extend into the following school year. The setting is a public K-12 school, offering a structured and supportive educational environment in Palmdale, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide school-based occupational therapy services to children in preschool through 6th grade across two sites.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and promote student success.
- Conduct assessments and deliver interventions tailored to meet the needs of diverse students within the school environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school district and state regulations.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to best practices for occupational therapy in educational settings.
Qualifications:
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy is required.
- Familiarity with the unique needs of pediatric students in a K-12 educational setting.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively across multiple sites.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Schedule and Location:
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (7.5 hours).
- Position based in Palmdale, CA, servicing two school locations.
