Job DescriptionWe are seeking a Pharmacy Technician II for an initial 6-month contract. This position comes with the likeliness of an extension or a direct offer.
Pay: $27.13/hour
Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm PST, Monday-Friday

Position Summary:The technician may spend 5-6 hours a day performing compounding duties in a sterile environment, which requires specific garbing and cleanroom etiquette. The technician should be advised that he or she will be working with hazardous medications under the protection of Personal Protective Equipment (i.e. gowns, masks, gloves, etc.) per institution protocol.
This position requires a California-licensed Pharmacy Technician working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. The technician will be responsible for the packaging, preparation, and sterile compounding of intravenous medications as well as injectable medications, including chemotherapy and other biohazardous drugs. All duties must be performed in accordance with USP <797> and <800> standards, institutional protocols, and safety guidelines.
Position Qualifications:
• This position requires a California-licensed Pharmacy Technician working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• High School or equivalent or Post High School vocational/specialized training or Graduation from a foreign school of Pharmacy
• At least 6 months of performing related duties as a pharmacy technician
Licensed pharmacy technician license in good standing with California Board of Pharmacy
