Based in the Long Beach Area, we are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Real Estate Attorney to join our family office, which primarily focuses on real estate law and business-related litigation. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a stable, professional environment with the flexibility to maintain or build your own practice alongside our matters.
Must have a strong background in real estate, litigation, and contract negotiations. This is a part time position (30-35 hours a week) with 3 days in the office (mandatory) and the remaining hours remote.

Job Details
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate litigation, contract disputes, leasing, unlawful detainer actions, rent collection, construction claims, insurance matters, and general business litigation. This position requires excellent legal drafting skills, sound judgment, and the ability to provide comprehensive legal support within a dynamic family office setting.
This is a part-time role (approximately 35 hours per week) with stable base compensation. In addition to managing our legal matters, the attorney will have the ability to use our office facilities to serve outside clients, creating an excellent opportunity for a lawyer seeking a ¾-time position with minimal overhead. For most of the work, malpractice coverage is not required.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in legal proceedings, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
Draft, review, and revise legal documents including contracts, pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
Conduct thorough legal research and develop case strategies for new and ongoing matters.
Advise clients on real estate, business litigation, and related legal issues.
Collaborate with internal and external legal professionals to ensure effective case management.
Stay current with applicable laws and regulations, particularly those affecting real estate and business litigation.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of all matters.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in California (required).
5+ years of experience in real estate law and litigation (preferred).
Strong expertise in: real estate litigation, business litigation, contract drafting/negotiation, collections, and related legal areas.
Exceptional legal drafting and research skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Proven ability to manage cases independently while working collaboratively.
Arizona bar admission (or ability to apply) is a plus
