Were hiring a Staff Backend Engineer with:

• 8+ years of backend engineering experience and strong CS fundamentals.

• Proven success architecting and scaling backend systems for millions of users and transactions.

• Deep experience with accounting/ledgering systems (e.g., balances, reconciliation, financial data pipelines).

• A track record of leading complex cross-team technical projects.

• Bonus: exposure to crypto, fintech, or large-scale data ingestion.

What youll do

• Design and scale backend systems to support millions of transactions with speed and reliability.

• Lead and drive technical projects that shape the long-term scalability and performance of our platform.

• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering to align systems with business needs.

• Architect distributed systems, APIs, and data processing pipelines.

• Mentor engineers and champion backend best practices across teams.

• Continuously improve system performance, observability, and maintainability.

Tech stack youll work with

• Python, Flask, GraphQL, Postgres

• Distributed systems and large-scale data pipelines

• Redis, Python RQ

• Relational databases (Postgres preferred)
