We are a rapidly growing high profile entertainment law firm led by diverse and prolific management. The firm is seeking a talented individual who wants to contribute to a growing and successful law firm with administrative support. We are seeking a self-sufficient individual who has the initiative and desire to support a law firm that is at the center of film and television deal making in Los Angeles. Assistants will be placed on a legal team to support in all administrative aspects in high profile entertainment transactions.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide administrative coverage (calls, schedule, travel arrangements)
- Arrange and submit attorney CLEs and compliance
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate person.
- Handle incoming and outgoing emails and mail.
- Schedule appointments and meetings.
- Manage calendars and deadlines for attorneys.
- Assist with document preparation and administrate all types of production-related contracts.
- Prepare certain filings for submission to the copyright office, trademark office, and superior courts
- Prepare legal correspondence, including termination letters, extensions and amendments.
- Track and prepare organized reports relating to status of agreements and other activities.
- Participate in system and process improvement projects.
- In person 4 days
Requirements:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- A mix of a top-tier law firm and in-house experience is preferred.
- Experience in the entertainment industry is desirable.
- Detail-oriented, with accurate input and proofreading skills.
- Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Airtable, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and organizational skills with ability to interact well with all levels of personnel.
- Self-starter with ability to prioritize high-volume work in fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be responsive to deadlines and work well under pressure.
- Proven ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to guide and focus their duties interiorizing basic business processes and routines with low supervision.
- Capability to meet the expectations set on the duties assigned.
- Successfully shares information and ideas, securing the most meaningful message is perfectly conveyed.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to take on additional support from the COO
- Have a Positive attitude
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 2 years of experience in a law firm or an entertainment/media company legal department. (preferred)
- College degree or equivalent level of experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate each department at the firm’s facilities.
