About the Role:
A well-established law firm in Orange County is seeking an experienced Appellate Law Attorney to join the team. The ideal candidate will bring strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with a proven track record of handling appeals in state and federal courts. This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with trial teams and partners while shaping appellate strategies for complex and impactful cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle all phases of appellate litigation, including briefing and oral argument.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and draft appellate briefs, writs, and motions.
- Collaborate with trial counsel to identify and preserve appellate issues.
- Manage a caseload of appeals in state and federal courts.
- Represent public entities, municipalities, and private clients in appellate matters.
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the California State Bar in good standing.
- 2+ years of appellate law experience, preferably with public law, constitutional, or complex litigation.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $190,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
