We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team. This role demands advanced technical expertise and desktop engineering skills, with a primary focus on user support and the seamless management of our IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication skills, and hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 Apps, Microsoft Intune, and Exchange Online. Senior-level proficiency in troubleshooting desktop applications and resolving performance issues is essential. The candidate should have experience working on a multi-faceted team, adeptly handling both systems and support tasks (approximately 80% systems and 20% support). This is a fantastic opportunity to assist managers in leading a team on systems and executive-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality deskside support with the ability to effectively triage issues remotely. Strong communication skills and confident interaction with C-Level Executives and Executive Assistants are essential.
- Monitor and manage held emails in security gateways, AI-related tools, and the Defender Quarantine as part of anti-phishing efforts.
- Engage in ongoing desktop and Azure cloud-related projects, collaborating with the Infrastructure and Cybersecurity team to achieve project goals.
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application, hardware, and light networking issues.
- Enroll and manage iPhones using Microsoft Intune, assisting with the creation of Intune App, Device, and Compliance configuration policies.
- Conduct desktop and server builds, install operating system software, apply patches, and perform upgrades.
- Monitor system alerts, perform weekly system checks, review logs, and handle escalations.
- Drive problem management efforts, working with vendors to research and resolve complex issues that may require extended periods to diagnose and resolve.
- Analyze and identify trends in issue reporting and develop preventive solutions.
- Intermediate proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation is required, including the ability to execute remote commands, generate reports, and apply configurations across users and systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Over 5 years of strong experience with Microsoft Windows, cloud, and security technologies, ideally as a senior lead on a support team, along with infrastructure-related responsibilities.
- Proven capability to troubleshoot DNS resolution issues.
- Expertise in configuring Azure Enterprise applications and app registrations.
- Strong expertise with Microsoft Intune and Microsoft 365 Apps, including permissions management in Microsoft admin centers and integrated apps.
- Experience with email inspection and anti-phishing operations using tools such as Mimecast, Proofpoint, Smarsh, or Symantec Cloud.
- Experience with AI-driven tools and using ChatGPT for system issue analysis and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Defender security tools, CrowdStrike, or other endpoint security tools.
- Intermediate-level PowerShell scripting and automation experience is essential.
- Experience with system performance monitoring methods and tools is highly desirable.
Preferred Certifications
- MCSA, MCSE, SCSA, or similar certifications are desirable but not mandatory.
- Cybersecurity or product-specific certifications are advantageous.
- ITIL Foundations certification is a plus.
