We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our team in Sacramento, California. This role is essential in providing administrative and legal support within the litigation sector. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess exceptional organizational and communication skills. This exciting position is HYBRID, 2 days onsite after training!
Responsibilities:
• Prepare, format, and edit legal documents and correspondence with a high level of accuracy.
• Manage case files and maintain comprehensive records for litigation matters.
• Coordinate schedules and appointments for attorneys, ensuring efficient time management.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel regarding case-related matters.
• Handle billing processes, including tracking time entries and preparing invoices.
• File legal documents with courts and agencies, adhering to deadlines and procedural requirements.
• Conduct research to support case preparation and provide attorneys with relevant information.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all legal matters.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as answering phone calls and managing office supplies.
• Proven experience as a Legal Secretary. litigation is preferred, but we can train for the right person
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• High level of proficiency with legal software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and strong integrity.
