We are seeking a hands-on Wiring Technician to support the setup of internal QA test harnesses.

Low-voltage wiring and harness assembly - including cutting, crimping, soldering, terminating, and routing wires (e.g., Cat 6, 22 gauge).

Build and install test wiring harnesses for internal QA.
-
Cut and run Cat 6 and other low-voltage wires to devices/cutting cat 6 wire and wiring to devices.

Perform basic testing (continuity, low-voltage).

Document wire movements and inventory using Google Sheets.

Use Jira and Google Workspace for task tracking and documentation.

Collaborate closely with engineering and QA teams.
-
Running wire, cutting wire, wiring setup.

May have to run test

Ability to read and follow wire harness assembly instructions
Qualifications
-
1-3 years of hands-on experience with wiring and harness assembly.
-
J-STD-001 Certification or similar.
-
Ability to read and follow basic wiring diagrams and schematics.
-
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs (up to 50 lbs with assistance).

Tool proficiency - crimpers, wire strippers, multimeters, and soldering tools (SMT and through-hole).

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints.
-
Certified technician with experience in wiring harness assembly and low-voltage testing.
-
Skilled in soldering, crimping, and routing wires.
-
Comfortable working from technical documentation.

Familiar with Cat 6, RJ45, and network cabling.

Strong documentation and communication skills.
-
Experience with access control systems, cameras, or network installations (RJ45, keystones, etc.).

Familiarity with Linux or Mac terminal environments.

Experience running wire, cutting wire and setting up wiring for low voltage

Working access control and/or cameras
-
Network or Security installation experience is a plus

Experience working with access control or cameras is a plus.

Terminal experience is a plus (Linux terminal, Mac terminal experience is also acceptable)

Low-voltage wiring experience

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
