Iron Mechanical is seeking an experienced Pipe Welder to join our growing team. This role is a key part of our field operations, supporting major construction projects across Northern California. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of weld preparation, execution, and finishing tasks to deliver high-quality pipe systems according to drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform various types of pipe welding on stainless steel and carbon pipe.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and written specifications.
- Prepare materials, set up equipment, and execute MIG and Stick welds with precision.
- Operate torches and other tools safely and skillfully.
- Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance.
- Collaborate with foremen, project managers, and other trades to keep jobs on schedule.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of industrial pipe welding experience (commercial construction preferred).
- Proven ability with stainless steel and carbon pipe welding.
- Working knowledge of MIG and Stick welding techniques.
- Familiarity with torch operation and cutting processes.
- Relevant certifications required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
