Job Description
General Description: The CNC machinist operates and programs machine tools such as lathes, mills, and grinders controlled by a computer to produce precision metal parts according to engineering drawings and specifications. The machinist will ensure the efficient operation of the machine, maintain equipment, and inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform machine setups quickly, accurately, and efficiently
- Work with engineering and CAM programming department to develop, and improve CNC programs
- Design and aid in the fabrication of fixturing for parts of varying complexity
Education, Training, and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required; post-secondary CNC education preferred
- 5+ years of CNC Mills or Lathe machine operation
Working Conditions:
- Machine shop environment with medium noise level and metal dust particles
- 5:00am-1:30pm Day Shift (available)
- 1:30pm-10:00pm Swing Shift (available)
- Temp-to-Perm
