The Little Gym of Milpitas is seeking a part-time Lead Instructor who loves kids, is full of energy, and is passionate about making a positive impact on families in their community. As a Lead Instructor, you’ll help us deliver on our promise of "Serious Fun" with a focus on health and safety. If you think you'd be a great fit for our fun and fast-paced environment, keep reading!
What We Expect from You:
- Introduce kids to the serious fun of education and play within The Little Gym's unique learning environment.
- Teach exciting classes based on our proven curriculum and teaching method (don’t worry, we’ll train you!).
- Assist the Gym Director in overseeing gym curriculum and programs, train team members, and ensure all instructors are well-prepared to effectively fulfill their roles in every program. Lead the training of new hires and ongoing staff development.
- Deliver outstanding customer service and create a warm, fun environment for both children and parents. We treat our members like family!
- Be physically capable of running, tumbling, and lifting/spotting children in basic tumbling and gymnastics skills.
- Be able to project your voice and command the attention of a room with 20-30 people.
You’d Fit in Here If:
- You have a cheerful and positive attitude and love celebrating kids' successes. Kids love being around you!
- An associate’s or bachelor’s degree, or active enrollment in either program, is required.
- Prior experience in gymnastics is a must.
- You have prior experience in coaching or teaching children
- You are comfortable mentoring and training team members.
- You have excellent communication skills with children of all ages and their parents.
- You love to have fun, but you know when to buckle down and get serious work done.
- You have a stellar work ethic and a strong eagerness to learn. You are committed to maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the facility
