The Stockroom Coordinator Assistant primarily focuses on assisting with inventory management and maintaining the organization and efficiency of the stockroom. These responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Inventory Management:

• Receiving: Accepting deliveries, verifying quantities, and inspecting goods for damage.
• Stocking: Placing incoming items in designated storage areas using a well-organized system.
• Inventory Control: Maintaining accurate records of stock levels, tracking inventory movement (both incoming and outgoing), and conducting regular cycle counts or physical inventory checks.
• Replenishment: Ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained by monitoring inventory, initiating purchase orders, and placing orders as needed.
• Order Picking: Selecting and preparing items for service vehicle restocking and approved work based on customer orders or internal requests.
• Kitting: Assembling kits or packages of related items to streamline production, distribution, and restock processes.
• Returns and Exchanges: Processing returned items, inspecting their condition, warranty items and restocking or return as appropriate.

Stockroom Organization and Maintenance:

• Organization: Maintaining an organized and efficient layout for the stockroom, ensuring easy access to items.
• Labeling: Clearly labeling shelves, bins, and items to facilitate quick identification and retrieval.
• Cleaning: Maintaining a clean and safe stockroom environment, free of clutter and hazards.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that any equipment used in the stockroom or issued from the stockroom (e.g., tools, special items, etc.) is in good working order upon issuance and return.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Data Entry: Entering inventory data into computer systems or databases.
• Communication: Coordinating with various departments (e.g., sales, vendors, production) regarding inventory needs and availability.
• Problem-Solving: Identifying and addressing discrepancies or issues related to inventory, such as shortages, overstocks, or damaged items.
• Safety: Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures within the stockroom.
