A plaintiff-side personal injury and labor & employment law firm is seeking a motivated Paralegal to join our team. This role is ideal for a recent college graduate looking to begin a career in the legal field and gain hands-on experience in litigation and case management. The paralegal will play a critical role in supporting attorneys and ensuring cases are prepared effectively for pre-suit and litigation phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with case intake and client communications, ensuring accurate documentation and organization of case details.
- Prepare and draft legal documents, including demand letters, discovery requests, and court filings.
- Conduct legal research and summarize findings to support case strategies.
- Coordinate with medical providers, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel in personal injury cases.
- Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all deadlines are tracked and met.
- Schedule and prepare materials for depositions, mediations, and court hearings.
Qualifications:
- Recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree (no prior experience required; training will be provided).
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and an ability to learn legal software quickly.
- A keen interest in personal injury and labor & employment law.
