Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Located in Watsonville, CA, this opportunity is ideal for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services. This full-time, contract position supports students from transitional kindergarten through eighth grade with disabling conditions, providing essential intervention and consultation services within an elementary school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services and consultation to eligible students with disabilities from TK to grade 8.
- Conduct thorough annual and triennial evaluations and reviews of students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Develop tailored intervention plans to address each students unique educational needs, collaborating closely with educators and families.
- Maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation in compliance with school district policies.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist license.
- Experience providing school-based OT services and understanding of educational environments.
- Strong ability to design and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff.
