Position Purpose
Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) is seeking a Temporary Development Administrative Assistant to provide part-time coverage during a temporary leave. This position will focus primarily on managing the Annual Fund program and related donor communications. The role will ensure continuity in BGCSF’s annual giving efforts, including print and digital campaign distribution, board outreach, and donor stewardship communications as well as special event support, and additional administrative tasks. This role will work closely with development colleagues to maintain strong donor engagement and keep critical fundraising campaigns on track.
This is a temporary and part-time (30 hours weekly) position located at our Main Office and is expected to conclude on or before February 12, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage execution of Annual Fund campaigns, including direct mail, digital email campaigns, and letter distribution.
- Support board member outreach related to fundraising and donor stewardship.
- Manage the donor communications calendar, ensuring timely delivery of appeals, acknowledgments, and stewardship touchpoints.
- Track donor communications and campaign progress in the MCH CRM system.
- Provide basic reporting on campaign results and donor response rates.
- Collaborate with development and marketing teams to ensure consistency and accuracy of donor-facing communications.
- Update donation webpages and fundraising pages as needed.
- Support pledge tracking and donor invoicing as needed.
- Support data entry and clean-up projects.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of development experience, ideally with an emphasis on annual fund or donor communications.
- Strong written communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a part-time schedule.
- Comfortable working with staff, board members, and donors in a professional manner.
- Experience with CRM databases (Salesforce preferred) and email marketing platforms (MailChimp or similar).
- A passion for fundraising and supporting youth from under-resourced communities.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for at least 1 hour consecutively.
- Must be able to sit at a computer workstation for long periods of time.
