Position Overview
The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing construction projects in various locations. This role involves coordinating on-site activities, ensuring project milestones are met, and maintaining high safety and quality standards across all sites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in commercial construction, particularly in retail and big box projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day construction operations at multiple job sites.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and team members to ensure project timelines are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and enforce safety standards.
- Manage project budgets and schedules, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure quality control standards are maintained throughout the construction process.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment with project goals.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Ability to travel extensively to various job sites as required.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Experience with large-scale projects, especially in retail or big box environments, is preferred.
- Familiarity with WalMart, grocery stores, and ground-up construction is a plus.
