Job DescriptionWe are looking for a skilled Paralegal to join our team in Long Beach, California. This is a long-term contract position offering the opportunity to work in a fast-paced legal environment specializing in lemon law cases. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in litigation and case management to support attorneys effectively while handling a large caseload.
Responsibilities:
• Draft and finalize legal complaints and filings, ensuring all jurisdictional details are accurate.
• Coordinate and schedule hearings, expert designations, and case management conferences.
• Prepare and manage disclosures using a structured format, ensuring completion for attorney review.
• Oversee case-related tasks such as inspections, discovery processes, buybacks, and civil penalty triggers.
• Provide direct support to one or more attorneys, ensuring efficient case management.
• Utilize legal practice management and task systems to track and organize case details.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure timely completion of case requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage electronic file storage using designated systems.
• Communicate effectively with clients, court personnel, and team members as needed.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in litigation; experience in lemon law or personal injury is an advantage.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment.
• Strong skills in multitasking, prioritization, and independent decision-making.
• Capability to onboard quickly and perform duties with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with federal court procedures is a plus but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in legal case management software and document storage systems.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Prior experience with discovery, trial preparation, and civil litigation processes.
