The Opportunity
Law Offices of Samer Habbas and Associates is seeking a motivated Law Clerk to join the team in Summer 2026. This is a temporary appointment and offered to rising 3Ls and post-bar candidates. Law Clerks at our office have the opportunity to collaborate frequently with our attorneys and be heavily involved in litigation casework. The perfect candidate is organized, meticulous, and able to balance competing priorities while following strict litigation timelines.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with drafting clear and compelling legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and settlement briefs
- Conduct legal research on assigned cases
- Observe depositions, mediations, and hearings
- Support discovery tasks by prepping and reviewing discovery on defendants, prep meet and confer letters, and motions to compel
- Gather client accounts of how incidents have impacted their daily activities, supporting the development of demand letters and mediation briefs to illustrate pain and suffering
Qualifications
- Actively enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school as a rising 3L, 3L, or post-bar candidate
- Strong legal research and writing abilities
- Able to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize under pressure without compromising work quality
- Superb written and oral communication skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Familiarity with personal injury litigation
- Experience with case management software (CasePeer, Filevine) a plus
