A K-12 school in Hayward, CA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide comprehensive speech and language services throughout the academic year under a contract arrangement. This role is essential in supporting students with communication disorders to enhance their educational success and overall development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evaluations.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student performance and services provided.
- Attend and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings.
- Provide consultation and training to staff as needed to support communication strategies.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- Experience working in school settings with K-12 students.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders common among school-aged children.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based speech-language services.
