A part-time physical therapist opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting located in Hayward, California. This contract position spans the school year and involves working directly with students to support their physical therapy needs within the educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat students with physical therapy needs to improve mobility and function
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support student progress
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to ensure integrated care
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy plans as necessary
- Assist in facilitating adaptive physical education and accessibility within the school setting
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of California
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings
- Strong munication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students and multidisciplinary teams
- Knowledge of special education regulations and school-based therapy practices
- Ability to manage caseload and maintain accurate documentation
