Overview of Role
As a Data Science Consultant, your role is to:

Transform raw educational data into actionable insights.

Analyze complex datasets.

Build reproducible data pipelines.

Craft compelling reports with strategic recommendations.
You will support high-impact projects such as:

Correlating survey and assessment results toward district outcomes, leveraging predictive and normative models

Correlating instructional supports data to achievement outcomes data for schools
-
Streamlining data ingestion and scripting for program monitoring.

Developing scalable methodologies to surface insights efficiently.
Initial Project Scope

Cross-domain analysis
Professional Coaching support data and surveys aligned to school districts' academic and wellness frameworks, attendance reporting, semantic survey analysis, and professional development effect estimation. -
Technical Expertise Required
Jupyter App Development, Excel/Sheets, Python, Pandas, JSON, LLMs. -
Stakeholder Collaboration
Regular check-ins with Evress’s CTO and Project Manager to align on execution and timelines.
Consultant Role Requirements

Commitment: 15+ hours per week.

Delightful Deliverables: Must meet deadlines and deliver high-quality, repeatable outputs. A sharp design eye for preparing polished data visualizations, executive decks, and one-pagers that resonate with non-technical decision-makers.

Open-Ended Challenges: Flexibility to take on projects requiring initiative and estimation at a time that best suits Evress and its customers.

Working Context: Strong ownership and effectiveness are expected. Fully remote with synchronous check-ins required. We expect you to be communicative and collaborative in our Roam Virtual Office.
