Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to join a dynamic trial-focused firm in Los Angeles. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on high-stakes cases, providing support through every stage of litigation. What You’ll Do

  • Draft routine legal documents and correspondence.

  • Manage multiple cases from intake through trial.

  • Collect, organize, analyze, and summarize medical records.

  • Assist in preparing for depositions, including gathering and organizing exhibits.

  • Support trial preparation by drafting pretrial documents, preparing exhibit and witness lists, and managing exhibits.

  • Provide direct trial support, including conducting research and handling real-time document needs.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience (personal injury background preferred).

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Paralegal Certificate required.

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal court rules, all phases of discovery, proofreading, and cite-checking.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

  • Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively under deadlines, manage competing priorities, and support a team-oriented environment.

  • Flexibility to occasionally work evenings or weekends as needed.
