Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Tier 3 IT Technician with strong network and system administration capabilities. This hands-on role involves resolving complex technical issues, maintaining infrastructure, and supporting end-users across a variety of platforms. You will be the go-to expert for escalated support tickets and infrastructure troubleshooting.
This is a full-time onsite position based in San Diego, CA. You will be required to work onsite during all business hours.

San Diego, CA - Onsite only. This role requires physical presence at our San Diego office during all working hours.
Main Duties
- Provide Tier 3 support for escalated helpdesk tickets across hardware, software, and network issues.
- Administer and maintain Windows servers, Active Directory, and cloud services (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure).
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues involving switching, routing, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Monitor system and network performance, applying proactive measures to ensure uptime and reliability.
- Implement and maintain security protocols including antivirus, patching, and access controls.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support infrastructure projects and upgrades.
- Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and technical support to internal users.
- Stay current with IT trends and best practices.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, or related fieldor equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, and network troubleshooting.
Qualifications & Key Skills
- Strong troubleshooting skills across desktop, server, and network environments.
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Office 365.
- Solid understanding of switching, routing, firewalls, and wireless technologies.
- Experience with network solutions such as Juniper, Meraki, Palo Alto.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Scripting experience (PowerShell, Python) for automation and diagnostics.

- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with endpoint management tools (e.g., Intune, SCCM).
- Understanding of compliance frameworks (HIPAA, SOC 2).
Compensation
- Compensation Range: $30.00 hourly - $37.50 hourly
