General Description:
Ensure that all products meet or exceed company standards. Inspect products and provide reports for analysis. Review production processes for quality and efficiency.
Essential Functions:
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with company guidelines.
- Ensure that all products meet specifications and adhere to quality standards.
- Oversee the line testing operation.
- Identify ways to improve existing processes to improve both quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with departments such as Production, Engineering and Purchasing to facilitate positive improvements within processes, components, and documentation.
- Develop manufacturing repeatability documents by utilizing such tools as photos, bullet point analysis, and other visual tools.
- Work closely with the Production Supervisor to assist with training employees to understand best manufacturing practices for each function performed.
- Facilitate the calibration of test equipment as required.
----_-- Recommend additional tooling/test equipment as appropriate.
- Recommend inspection AQL by product types or vendor, as appropriate.
- Enter and maintain quality data within the ERP system.
- Participate as a key member of the material review board.
- Focus on continuous improvement and participate as requested with 6S, Kaizen events, and other methods. -
Other duties and special projects as required.
Education and General Requirements:
- Ability to comprehend assembly drawings.
- Ability to comprehend fabrication drawings.
- Experience in an electrical or mechanical assembly environment.
- Experience with Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with ERP system(s)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- High school graduate or GED required; Bachelor of Science preferred.
- Bi-Lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required. Must be fluent in English.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Ability to work with different personality types.
- Ability to coach and mentor.
- Ability to lift to 40 LBS.
- Vision (Near and Far) and Sense of sound (Per OSHA standards).
