Job Summary:
The Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing the preparation, negotiation, and administration of contracts for engineering and construction projects. This role ensures that all contractual obligations are met, risks are managed, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards is maintained throughout the project life cycle.

Key Responsibilities:
• Contract Development & Negotiation
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
• Ensure contracts align with company policies, project goals, and legal requirements.
• Collaborate with legal and project teams to resolve contract-related issues.
• Contract Administration
• Maintain accurate records of all contract documents and correspondence.
• Monitor contract performance and compliance, including deliverables, timelines, and financial terms.
• Manage contract amendments, extensions, and renewals.
• Risk Management
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks across projects.
• Advise project teams on contractual rights, obligations, and liabilities.
• Support claims management and dispute resolution processes.
• Stakeholder Coordination
• Liaise with internal departments (legal, finance, procurement, project management) to ensure contract alignment.
• Serve as the point of contact for contract-related inquiries and guidance.
• Compliance & Reporting
• Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Prepare reports on contract status, risks, and performance metrics for senior management.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in contract management within engineering or construction sectors.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts (e.g., FIDIC, NEC, AIA).
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to manage multiple contracts and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:
• Experience with Large contracts and joint ventures in the Engineering/ Commercial Construction Sector .
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools.
