Central Fill Pharmacy Manager
Location: Greater Fresno
Employment Type: Full-time
Salary range: $175,000-$190,000/yr
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM (no weekends or evenings!)
Overview
We’re looking for a hands-on, driven Pharmacy Manager (Central Fill) to lead the daily functions of our state-of-the-art long-term care central pharmacy. This role blends operational leadership, regulatory oversight, and business management to ensure our pharmacy runs efficiently, compliantly, and with a strong focus on patient well-being.
What You’ll Do
- Direct and coordinate all aspects of day-to-day central pharmacy operations.
- Establish clear goals, processes, and performance standards for team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Lead team meetings and translate company initiatives into actionable operational plans.
- Monitor budgets and manage financial processes, including purchasing, contracts, and billing activities.
- Oversee prescription fulfillment workflows, packaging standards, and inventory management systems.
- Maintain optimal staffing and operational continuity through effective scheduling and process management.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy).
- Support quality assurance programs and compliance documentation.
- Provide pharmacist oversight as needed, including prescription verification and review.
- Build strong relationships with customers and facility partners to enhance service delivery.
- Identify growth opportunities and operational efficiencies to strengthen the business.
What You Bring
- Licensed Pharmacist in California (or eligibility to obtain licensure in additional states).
- 3–5 years of progressive leadership experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Experience in long-term care, retail, specialty, or mail-order pharmacy preferred.
- Knowledge of pharmacy automation, inventory systems, and quality performance metrics.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets and cost controls.
- Proven ability to lead teams, motivate staff, and drive positive change.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to patient safety, service excellence, and compliance integrity.
- Willingness to travel.
