Scheduler – Capital Infrastructure Projects (Primavera P6 | Utilities Preferred)
Location: Greater San Francisco Bay Area | Onsite/Hybrid | Multiple Openings
Overview:
We are supporting a mission-critical Utility Infrastructure Upgrade program to meet the growing energy demand from hyperscale data centers in the Bay Area. This long-term effort includes transmission and substation enhancements across the region, representing one of the most significant grid modernization efforts in California.
We are actively hiring Schedulers with strong experience supporting capital delivery projects, particularly within utilities or other complex infrastructure domains such as transportation, high-rise construction, or energy systems. Proficiency with Primavera P6 is a must.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 for major capital infrastructure projects
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement, and field teams to integrate scope, milestones, and sequencing into a realistic project timeline
- Track schedule progress, identify potential delays or risks, and propose mitigation plans
- Provide “what-if” scenario planning to assess schedule impacts of project changes or external constraints
- Align schedules with cost and resource plans; support integration with project controls and financial systems
- Generate weekly/monthly schedule updates and reporting for internal and external stakeholders
- Help build a culture of schedule accountability, transparency, and proactive planning across the delivery teams
Who You Are:
- 3–7+ years of project scheduling experience supporting capital infrastructure projects
- Strong proficiency in Primavera P6 is required
- Background in utilities, energy, or large-scale public works (e.g., transit, rail, highway, or commercial infrastructure) is preferred
- Ability to build and manage detailed construction or engineering schedules across complex, multi-phase programs
- Skilled in critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments, and working with field and technical teams
- Familiarity with project controls, earned value metrics, and construction sequencing a plus
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
