Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide specialized occupational therapy services tailored to elementary school students in a dynamic educational setting located in San Mateo, CA. This full-time, contract position spans the current school year, starting ASAP and concluding at the end of the school year, offering an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' developmental progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions to support students' academic and functional needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement effective therapy plans
- Conduct assessments to identify students' occupational therapy needs and track progress
- Maintain detailed documentation in accordance with state and school guidelines
- Participate in meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team efforts to enhance student outcomes
Qualifications:
- Valid California Occupational Therapist (OT) License
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school setting preferred
- Strong knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy best practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, families, and school personnel
