A middle school in San Jose, CA is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join their team for a contracted school year (CSY) position. This role involves providing speech and language services tailored to the needs of middle school students, either through in-person sessions or teletherapy.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), including Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
  • Certified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) credentials with experience either in school or healthcare settings
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms to deliver remote services effectively
  • Strong understanding of middle school student needs and developmental communication goals
  • Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment plans in compliance with educational guidelines

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and evaluations for middle school students
  • Develop and implement personalized therapy plans to address speech, language, and communication challenges
  • Provide both direct therapy and consultation services to students, educators, and families
  • Utilize teletherapy tools as appropriate to maintain service continuity
  • Maintain accurate records and progress reports following school and legal requirements
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
