Senior Civil Design Engineer - Land Development
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Design Engineer to lead our land development projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil engineering, specifically in land development, and will be responsible for overseeing the design and execution of various projects, ensuring they meet regulatory standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of land development projects from concept to completion.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other engineers to develop project specifications and designs.
- Prepare and review engineering drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other design software.
- Conduct site evaluations and assessments to determine feasibility and compliance with regulations.
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources efficiently.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders and clients.
- Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in civil design.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- 8+ years of experience in civil design and land development.
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D and other civil engineering design software.
- Experience with commercial, residential, grading, industrial, mixed-use, and drainage projects.
- Experience with Land Use Entitlements is desired.
- Familiarity with sanitary, sewer, water supply, water resources, and stormwater management systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
