  • Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards and regulations (FMVSS, SAE, ISO, FCC) for electrical systems and components.
  • Partner with suppliers to optimize DFM/DFA, materials selection, and manufacturing readiness for electrical modules, connectors, sensors, and related hardware.
  • Support testing and certification of smart exterior features such as advanced lighting systems, powered accessories, and tech-enabled utility gear.
  • Lead root cause analysis and resolution for electrical system issues during development and launch phases.
  • Communicate technical status, risks, and mitigation plans clearly to engineering leadership and cross-functional teams.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • Hands-on experience with CATIA (V5 or V6) for electrical packaging and harness routing; Windchill PLM experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of FMVSS, SAE, ISO, FCC compliance, and validation protocols for vehicle electrical systems.
  • Proven ability to bring electrical products from concept through production with Tier 1/2 suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional, hands-on development environment.
