1st Shift CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated 1st Shift CNC Machinist for a large valve manufacturing company based in Costa Mesa, CA. This role offers a start time of 4am or 5am, with 9-hour workdays and the opportunity for overtime on Saturdays. Pay is flexible and commensurate with experience, typically ranging from $20 to $40 per hour. We welcome entry-level candidates who are eager to learn and grow.
Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust program/offsets on CNC multi-task vertical machining center according to engineering specifications, production drawings, and verbal instructions.
- Check work in process for adherence to quality and production standards.
- Change settings for various production runs as needed.
- Obtain and return work supplies from the tool crib.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and equipment operating conditions.
- Use hand tools as required.
- Complete accurate production and work records.
- Deburr parts in completing production work as necessary.
- Operate jib crane and bridge crane to load and unload parts.
- Familiarity with hitching and rigging equipment and their use.
Essential Skills
- Experience with CNC operations, including milling or lathe.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Strong inspection skills for quality assurance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1-3 years of recent experience or training in machining.
- Considerable knowledge of methods and techniques for operating CNC multi-task vertical machining center.
- Ability to operate and adjust equipment control settings.
- Knowledge of safe equipment operating procedures and work practices.
- Ability to check machined parts for conformity with work specifications and quality standards.

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
