Under the supervision of the Site Operations Manager, the Clinical Team Supervisor, MA is responsible for overseeing all medical assistant clinical processes within the department(s)/team(s) assigned, including but not limited to: patient intake, assisting medical providers and other medical assistants as needed, injections, maintenance of exam rooms and related tasks. In addition, the Clinical Team Supervisor, MA is responsible for ensuring all medical assistant are crossed trained in every department, coordinating patient flow, facilitating staff training and meeting, participating in the hiring of new staff, problem-solving, inventory and ordering of medical supplies, vaccines, assist with complying with OSHA, CLIA, IZ standards, assists in audits, and other supplies.

Compensation: $29.99 - $36.33 hourly, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with the Site Operations Manager, the Clinic Team Supervisor supervises the Medical Assistants on the clinic floor, and directs the patient flow of regular appointments and drop-in patients.
- Ensures all medical assistants are cross-trained and up-to-date with clinical skills.
- Takes the lead in handling complaints regarding clinical services.
- Assists with all medical assistant functions when needed to maintain effective patient flow through the clinic.
- Assists practitioners during examinations as needed.
- Ensures that reusable instruments are cleaned, sterilized and stocked. Maintains adequate supply of instruments. Tests medical and laboratory equipment to ensure effective functioning.
- Performs inventory, and maintains adequate medical supplies, vaccines and other supplies needed.
- Supervises and helps manage the vaccine programs and serves as the clinic vaccine coordinator.
- Assists in audits and making sure corrections are done.
- Assists Site Manager with the hiring of clinic staff.
- Coordinates and facilitates staff trainings and meetings with Site Manager.
- Assists with management of medical assistant scheduling.
- Performs all duties for successful electronic health record entries and maintenance (i.e., EPIC) for each client/patient visit within the designated time set by the organization.
- Performs other duties as assigned by clinic leadership.
- Works with clinic staff (i.e. Clinicians, Nurses, Integrated services) to ensure excellent patient care delivery.
- Review staff’s request for time-off, review and approve timecards.
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant certification from an accredited school required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical MA experience required.
- Current BLS certification required.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred, not required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
- Ability to problem solve and to receive and give feedback.
- Ability to work with a team or independently to enhance clinic efficiency.
- Competent to work with computer programs, registration and scheduling systems.
- Ability to competently serve people from diverse ethnic, socio-economic, and educational backgrounds.
- Ability to multi-task, take initiative, delegate, and assist in responsibilities for department’s operations.
- Ability to engage staff, motivate, and create a positive environment.
