Shifts are flexible based on your availability, with part-time or full-time caseloads! Let us know of your availability, and we will collaborate on building a caseload that best suits you! We are currently seeking someone with weekend and overnight availabilities, so if you're seeking a flexible position that could work around a school or full-time schedule, this may be the fit for you!

A Day in the Life of a Direct Support Professional
As a Direct Support Professional at our nonprofit, you will empower adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them cultivate independence within their households. Your role involves providing one-to-one support, supporting the person in essential skills such as cleaning, cooking, household maintenance, and daily living skills. You will also empower the individual in accessing their community, exploring together on the weekends or looking into activities or meet-ups that align with their interests. The Direct Support Professional does provide personal care, depending on the level of support needed from the individual.

Our starting rate is $19/hour for day time support hours and minimum wage for overnight sleeping support. There will be opportunities for pay increases after 6 months, with an increase of $0.50, and ongoing professional development opportunities including a leadership development program which leads to future pay increases and promotion opportunities.

Qualifications:
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries while providing compassionate support.
- Reliability and dependability - you'll be someone our community can count on.
- Valid CA driver's license, car insurance, reliable vehicle, and 2 years driving experience.
- A solid work history and references that can attest to your dependability and reliability.
