Are you highly organized, data-savvy, and driven by process excellence? The Almond Board of California is seeking a Technical Services Specialist to support our quality and food safety initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Quality Assurance and Industry Services, this vital role works at the intersection of science, compliance, and industry service. This non-exempt role is based out of our headquarters in Modesto, CA.
What You’ll Do:
As a key player in our Industry Services Department, you will:
- Coordinate and manage audit schedules and compliance tracking for the Almond Board’s Pasteurization and Pre-Export Check (PEC) programs.
- Review and monitor validation reports and audit findings, supporting stakeholders to meet safety and compliance standards.
- Administer research and contract projects, track budgets, gather data, and ensure deliverables stay on target.
- Maintain data systems and technical resources—crafting reports, charts, and presentations for committees and industry events.
- Collaborate with experts, inspectors, and processors across the almond industry to ensure accuracy, transparency, and efficiency.
What You Bring:
- A bachelor’s degree in science, data management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–5 years in food safety, regulatory auditing, QA, or technical services.
- Top-tier organizational and data analysis skills, especially with Excel, databases, and PowerPoint.
- Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
- The ability to manage details without losing sight of deadlines and big-picture goals.
