About the Job:
We’re looking for an experienced Journeyman Pipefitter to join our maintenance team at a large manufacturing plant. In this role, you’ll be responsible for laying out, fabricating, installing, and repairing piping systems that keep our plant running. You’ll work with a variety of systems including steam, water, air, gas, and chemical lines. This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their trade, works safely, and can handle the pace of a busy industrial environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and job specs to plan pipe layouts.
- Cut, thread, groove, weld, and fit pipe to exact measurements.
- Install and repair valves, pumps, and other equipment tied into piping systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime.
- Work with maintenance crews, welders, and other trades to complete projects.
- Inspect piping systems for leaks, wear, and safety issues.
- Follow plant safety rules, lockout/tagout, and OSHA standards every day.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of industrial or commercial pipefitting experience.
- Strong skills with pipe cutters, threaders, welders, grinders, and other trade tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and work with tight tolerances.
- Knowledge of pumps, valves, boilers, chillers, and hydraulics is a big plus.
- Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends, or off-shifts when needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Comfortable working at heights, in tight spaces, and in hot/cold environments.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, climb, and stand for long periods.
