Rohadfox is searching for an experienced Mechanical Inspector. The Mechanical Inspector will support our clients construction inspection and work as a member the Quality Assurance & Construction Inspection Division across multiple projects within the Capital Improvement Program.

*Candidates must possess a current ICC certification as a Commercial Mechanical Inspector to apply. *Proof of Cal-OSHA 30 hr. training within the last 4 years, prior to assignment. You must

Must be able to work any assigned shift - day, swing, or night - as required to meet the contractor’s construction schedule. However the usual shift is Days 6AM-2:30pm M-F unless otherwise requested. Hourly rate range begins at $69.67 (plus) per hr. DOE.

Professional Experience Level/Minimum Qualifications

· Mechanical inspection staff shall have 3 years or more experience performing mechanical inspections for Building Construction.

· Mechanical inspection staff possess a thorough knowledge of the materials and methods used in the installation of plumbing, heating, air conditioning and refrigeration installations.

· Current ICC Certification as a Commercial Mechanical Inspector

· Proof of Cal-OSHA 30 hr. training within the last 4 years

· Fall protection and harness training.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:

· Additional Current ICC certification as a Commercial Plumbing Inspector

· NFPA 70E standards training within the last 3 years.

· Plumbing experience (journeyman/master level) with progression into inspection.

· Experience inspecting mechanical systems of large-scale commercial, industrial or public buildings.

· Confined Space Entry Training

· Experience overseeing and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations on significant construction projects.

· Involvement in complex projects that require coordination with multiple stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and city officials.

· Expertise in identifying and addressing deficiencies, ensuring that all aspects of construction meet the required standards.

· Must be open to learning the prescriptive items required by the agency.

· A strong understanding of diverse code requirements (CBC & CMC).

· Excellent communication and time management skills.

Hardware/Software Knowledge

Knowledge of Project Management Information Software used for inspection/document control (i.e., Microsoft Office, Outlook, Xcel, Word, PM Web, Adobe Pro, Bluebeam, etc.).

Computer proficiency to review and utilize electronic equipment for contract documents efficiently, including change orders, submittals, RFIs, and other inspection documents, with minimal supervision.

Education/Training

High school diploma (or equivalent)

Must live within commuting distance of the work location in West Los Angeles, CA.
