Position Title: Electrician Maintenance (23160)
Reports To: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
Position Location: US Army, Camp Parks Reserve Forces Training Area, Dublin, California
Work Days/Time: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm,
Hourly Wage: $50.38 per hour plus benefits
This is a Journeymen level job requiring 3-5 years of Commercial work experience. The individual should possess a valid License as an Electrician and have graduated from a technical school or an apprentice program.
Qualifications:
· Must have a disability documented in writing by a physician licensed in the State of California as credentialed to diagnose and capable of diagnosing, the specific disability or a written certification of disability by a California State rehabilitation agency.
· Must pass a government security clearance upon application as well as subsequent criminal background checks and not be subject revocation of facility access during the term of employment. Must possess a valid California Drivers licenses for the duration of employment.
Duties:
Be able to inspect and troubleshoot electrical issues, use building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and various maintenance and repair manuals (engineering, drawing, and electrical) to recommend layout of the routing, placement type, size, gauge, balance, load, continuity, and safe operation of electrical lines, circuits, systems, equipment and controls; replace distribution panels, boxes, fittings, and connections; install wiring, couplings, conduit, relays, fixtures, transformers and other electrical devices; service, repair, and maintain electrical switches, relays outlets, lighting fixtures, and emergency alarm systems; repair and replace defective parts in motors, generators, storage batteries, switchboards, controllers, switches, and other electrical fixtures and appliances; locate, install, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and load testing of existing electrical circuits and associated electrical fixtures, controls, and equipment; change light ballasts; replace worn or non-operational electrical wiring; install and test lighting; prepare work reports; simple operation of basic hand & power tools and commercial mechanical equipment on/around scaffolds, ladders, and personnel lifting devices. Manual labor associated with the daily maintenance and repair of government-owned facilities and property. Perform various duties that may include being able to lift and move materials up to 40 pounds. Occasionally lift or move heavier items with the assistance of lifting devices or other workers and the ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop and/or crawl for periods of time up to 60 minutes. May be required to work with other trades or General Maintenance Worker to completed assigned tasks. Perform any tasks that Management may deem to assign as business needs dictate.
