PRIMARY POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Issues production briefs for assigned production areas.
2. Enters production reporting, time utilization, component issues, scrap, and work order close packets, as well as inventory adjustments that Distribution provides.
3. Monitors available quantities of bulk raw materials in silos, tanks, and totes.
4. Monitors material supply and alerts others of potential shortages and communicates to quality when needed materials need to be released.
5. Identify any errors in scheduling, planning, or QAD and take initiative to resolve and/or notify management immediately.
6. Assist with maintaining inventory of labels, simple maintenance of the label printers.
7. Assist with annual year end physical inventory.
8. Assist with implementation of Warehouse Management System and the transition from manual labels to digital labels.
9. Be able to back up Production Planning Supervisor on a as needed basis.
10. Lead special projects as assigned.
Comprehension of all relevant quality management system factors and documents that refer to the job category and the awareness by the individual of their relevance and importance. That includes but is not limited to, understanding of the Quality Policy, how the individual’s performance contributes to meeting of the Critical Success Factors and specific job category or position related procedures.
COMPANY REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
- Position holder will have a high school diploma or equivalency.
- Ability to speak and comprehend the English language as determined through appropriate testing and/or the interview process.
- Able to read and comprehend and to legibly write the English language as determined through appropriate testing and/or the interview process.
- Mathematics and reasoning skills as determined through applicable aptitude and achievement tests.
- A position in areas, such as the maintenance department where specific skills such as electrical knowledge are required, will require documented evidence of competency in those skills.
