Job Description

The VCI Superintendent (Super) directly oversees the onsite, day-to-day management of the job. The Super receives their specific job assignments from the Operations/Superintendent Manager (OM) who will set clear expectations of what the Super is expected to deliver during the duration of the job. Among these deliverables are the completed Job Start form and weekly Progress form for each job. Also, specific email communications are required for RFIs and daily briefing memo to the client. Other communication or reports as required by the specific job or as determined by the OM. Superintendent may be required to manage multiple job site consistently. The super is expected to have appropriate onsite time at all assigned jobs on a regular basis and may include nights, weekends and or company observed holidays as applicable. In additions to reporting updates on the jobs, supers are expected to complete a Job debrief process following the completion of each Job with the OM. The OM will devote his/her energies to assure each job is completed on time and on or under budget for all assigned Vulcan Construction Jobs.

EDUCATION

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred: Associates degree or other extended education in construction management.

EXPERIENCE

Required: Minimum of 4 years of verifiable experience, thorough knowledge of trades and be computer literate. Experience in commercial construction is preferred. Microsoft office (Excel, Word, Project and Outlook) is also required.
Preferred: OSHA 30, Procore cert, CPR, First aid

The salary offered will be aligned with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
