As a Test Operating Intern, you will support our production and prototype testing efforts by operating semiconductor test systems, ensuring accurate and efficient test execution to meet customer delivery schedules. You will work closely with Planning, Operations, and Engineering teams to uphold product quality and on-time performance.

Please Note: This role requires flexibility to work unconventional hours, including nights, weekends, and third shifts, with a weekly commitment ranging from 20 to 30 hours depending on candidate availability.

Responsibilities

  • Hand testing chips manually to product specifications, from production trays, using hand vacuums to move product between product trays and the test heads
  • Perform routine calibration and maintenance on testers, motherboards, and load boards; requires diagnosis and debugging at times
  • Diagnosing/Debugging Manual Tester/Setup issues and providing standard documentation for repair
  • Managing and maintaining sockets for them to perform correctly
  • Entering proper lot information when starting Nextest System user interface, accurately record test outcome data into automation software
  • Complying with both corporate and ISO standards, drive for continuous improvement in test

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a relevant degree program to be considered for this role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions and test procedures accurately.
  • Comfortable with basic computer tasks (data entry, navigating test interfaces, logging results).
  • Excellent manual dexterity for handling small devices.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain focus during overnight hours.

  • Monday: 9pm-5am (8 hours)
  • Tuesday: 1pm-9pm(8 hours)
  • Friday: 9pm-5am (8 hours)
  • Saturday A: 5am-10am (5 hours)
  • Saturday B: 6pm-10pm (4 hours)
  • Sunday A: 6am-10am (4 hours)
  • Sunday B: 6pm-10pm (4 hours)

This role is classified as a temporary, internship-based position and is paid on an hourly basis at a rate of $23.00 per hour. Employment is contingent upon continued business need and does not guarantee permanent placement.
