Position Summary
As a personal assistant/caregiver with Sentry Living Solutions, you will provide essential caregiving support an adult wheelchair user in a home-based setting. You will help maintain continuity in the individual’s daily routines. This role requires a compassionate, reliable professional who can deliver care that promotes autonomy, and emotional well-being.
Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personalized care and support to adults with disabilities in their homes.
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including transfers, dressing, meal preparation, client adaptive bike, and driving client's wheelchair van.
  • Monitor clients’ health and overall well-being, and report any concerns promptly.
  • Engage clients in recreational and educational activities that align with their interests.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of services provided while ensuring client confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA.
  • Foster a safe, respectful, and empowering environment that supports independence and quality of life.
  • Ensure client safety at all times, including awareness of and response to potential risks in the home setting.
  • Physically able to assist with transfers, exercise, bike, walker etc.

Overnight Shifts (Required)

  • Monday 9pm-9am
  • Tuesday 5pm-9am
  • Friday 3pm-9pm

Qualifications

  • Experience in caregiving or a related field, especially with adults with disabilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a respectful and professional approach.
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor.
  • Ability to recognize and respond to the needs of adults with diverse physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges.
  • Organizational skills to manage time and maintain accurate care documentation.

Transportation Requirements

  • Valid California Driver’s License.
  • Reliable transportation.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience working with adults with disabilities or special needs preferred.
  • Basic first aid and CPR knowledge (certification preferred but not required).
