Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Manager

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Manager to lead the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of our Quality Management System (QMS). This role ensures compliance with AS9100D, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements across aerospace, medical, and industrial manufacturing. The QA Manager will drive process assurance, audit readiness, documentation control, and quality training to prevent defects and support operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Management System
- Maintain and improve AS9100D and ISO 9001 QMS.
- Ensure compliance with customer-specific quality requirements.
- Manage documentation control, procedures, work instructions, and records.
Audits & Compliance
- Plan, lead, and support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
- Drive corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) to closure.
- Ensure AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIs) are properly documented.
Process Assurance
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure processes are documented, repeatable, and compliant.
- Implement process audits, layered audits, and training programs to enforce quality discipline.
- Monitor and report on QMS performance metrics (audit results, NCRs, CAPAs).
Training & Communication
- Provide training on QMS procedures and quality standards to employees at all levels.
- Serve as a liaison between customers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams regarding quality system requirements.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify systemic quality risks and lead cross-functional efforts to prevent recurrence.
- Support Lean and Six Sigma initiatives focused on process improvement and waste reduction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in QA management within aerospace, medical device, or contract manufacturing.
- Deep knowledge of AS9100D, ISO 9001:2015, AS9102, and related quality system standards.
- Experience leading internal and external audits.
- Strong background in documentation control, CAPA management, and process assurance.
- Familiarity with IPC standards for electronic assemblies (preferred).
- Excellent communication, training, and cross-functional leadership skills.
