This opportunity places a Litigation Paralegal at the center of one of California's most active real estate law practices, supporting a high-volume trial department that handles impactful matters across the state.
Mission Recruiting is partnering with a respected and fast-moving legal team known for representing prominent property owners and management companies. This role offers hands-on involvement in litigation from pleadings through trial, making it an ideal fit for a paralegal who enjoys responsibility, variety, and momentum.
What You Will Do
- Conduct legal research and assist with discovery responses
- Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, and litigation documents
- Schedule, prepare, and serve motions and oppositions, including motions to compel, demurrers, and motions to strike
- Support trial preparation by organizing exhibits, binders, and jury trial materials
- Handle e-filing, paper filing, and ongoing case management tasks
- Communicate with clients regarding pleadings, court dates, and hearing updates
- Provide litigation support across the trial team as needed
What We Are Looking For
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program or equivalent experience
- Direct experience handling unlawful detainer matters
- Strong trial and litigation exposure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent legal writing, organization, and multitasking abilities
- High-level typing skills and overall technical proficiency
- Professional communication style with strong attention to detail
Helpful Experience
- Substantial work in unlawful detainer litigation
- Familiarity with Clio or similar case management platforms
- Working knowledge of California county court rules and procedures
