We are seeking a Lead Low Voltage Cable Technician to become an integral part of our growing team! You will be cabling, installing and setting up data communication systems as well as troubleshooting those systems moving forward all while Leading a small team of between 1 to 2 other technicians. This work will be all commercial and industrial, mainly for retail, food service, and banking customers. This is not a traveling position but may occasionally require travel.
Responsibilities:
- Wiring and installing new construction and remodel structured cabling such as Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber, Coax, 18/2, etc.
- Build out of new Network Rooms and IDF Cabinets from scratch and/or remodeling existing
- Install network devices such as Access Points, PCs, POS devices, Printers, IP Phones, cameras, etc.
- Install and validate shots for CCTV systems
- Install music and paging systems
- Investigate customer issues, troubleshoot, and resolve issues
- Ability to lead teams of up to 5 other technicians throughout short and long term projects
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years prior experience in telecommunications, networking, structured cabling or related fields
- Familiarity with telecommunications and network equipment
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to read blue prints
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- Must have reliable transportation and basic trade tools
