Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time, contract position is available for an experienced Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services, working with students from ages 3 to 22 with mild to severe multiple disabilities. This role is based in Fontana, CA, serving K-12 students across multiple school sites throughout the week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer standardized assessments including the BOT-3 and Peabody assessments to students with various disabilities.
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy interventions and consultations to a broad caseload with fluctuating needs.
- Travel to approximately seven different school sites weekly to provide services, managing your own schedule in alignment with district needs.
- Collaborate with families and educators, utilizing data-driven approaches to address concerns and support service recommendations.
- Work independently in a school-based environment without additional on-site occupational therapists.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in school-based or extensive clinical occupational therapy practice.
- Proficiency with assessment tools such as BOT-3 and Peabody.
- Ability to manage a variable caseload involving assessments, consultations, and direct therapy.
- Strong communication and data analysis skills to advocate for student needs and therapies.
- Valid Occupational Therapy license and relevant certifications.
