Looking to get real-world experience working on cutting-edge tech? ViaBot is searching for mechanically-minded students to help keep our fleet of robots running smoothly. This is a part-time, in-person role perfect for mechanic technician students who want hands-on learning, a flexible schedule, and a chance to travel.
What You’ll Do:

Travel around Riverside, California to fix and maintain robots at our client sites (travel costs reimbursed by ViaBot)

Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and repairs on our robots — with plenty of support from our expert tech team

Use your diagnostic skills to troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues

Keep track of what you’ve fixed using our easy internal tools

Work with all kinds of hand and power tools, from wrenches to grinders

Prioritize repairs and handle parts shipments as needed

Respond to maintenance requests quickly and help keep everything running smoothly
Who We’re Looking For:

You’re currently studying (or recently graduated from) a mechanic technician or similar program

You love working with your hands and figuring out how things work

You’ve used hand and power tools before (in class, a shop, or on your own projects)

You’re detail-oriented and like solving problems

You can work solo or in a small crew without much supervision

You’re comfortable lifting 30+ lbs and moving equipment around

You’re open to traveling — sometimes on short notice, including weekends

You have a valid driver’s license and work authorization

You can communicate clearly in English

Experience with electrical systems or robotics (even in school projects)
